Tragedy struck on February 1, 2024. Praveena experienced severe cardiac arrest, which led to her collapse at home. The paramedics resuscitated her and rushed her to Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena.
Despite the medical team's best efforts, Praveena did not survive. She passed away on February 4, 2024, leaving a profound void in the hearts of her family and friends. Her husband Sathya, her young son Adithya, and her mother are now navigating the depths of their grief, facing a future without her presence.
Praveena Krishnan's story is an inspiring narrative of resilience, love, and the distinct challenges and triumphs that shaped her life. Born on September 13, 1980, in Chennai, India, she emerged as a formidable individual, her path sculpted by early adversity, notably the loss of her father, and the steadfast care of her mother. Her educational journey, from Holy Angels Convent to Panimalar Engineering College where she completed her Masters in Computer Application, laid the groundwork for a promising future.
She moved to the United States in 2007 on H1b work visa. This marked the beginning of an illustrious career with NBC Universal. It was in this chapter that Praveena and Sathya's lives briefly converged, introduced by mutual friends. They would rekindle this friendship in 2016 which blossomed into love, culminating in a beautiful wedding on June 25, 2017. They spent a year apart and finally, Sathya left his job in Sweden and moved to USA on H4 dependant visa. Together, they navigated life's ups and downs, their love deepening with each shared experience.
Among their most significant challenges was their journey toward parenthood, a path marked by emotional and physical trials. The birth of their son, Adithya, in 2021, was a pivotal moment of joy, bringing unparalleled happiness and love into their lives. Adithya's arrival fulfilled their long-held dreams, further enriching their family life. Sathya and Praveena had each navigated and overcome several personal tragedies since childhood and it seemed like they could finally move ahead, happily, into the future.
Praveena’s death is extremely heartbreaking for her mother and her 2-year-old son. Sathya, her husband, is devastated and is unable to comprehend how to move ahead with yet another personal loss.
